stopwatch It takes Energy to have Time

Business energy is just as important as Business time. Energy in this context is the passion , enthusiasm, commitment and determination to operate your business. Everyone is claiming to be time-poor. Technology blurs our reality. Customers have less loyalty today, shorter attention spans and are constantly bombarded by messages. Flash, urgent often annoying advertising confuses and alienates the passive purchaser. Business now demands much more of its owners time. Free time that is increasingly more difficult to replace and constantly slipping away. Here are some energy and time savers.

  1. Do more with less. This is the underpinning expectation and outcome when business innovate and embrace modern technology. The outcome providing hopefully greater gains for less cost and time allocated. The results being better value and benefits for customers for same or less cost.
  2. Time is a constant. The secret is how and what you spend time on. What value is placed on time and the tasks at hand . Delegation, planning and scheduling will build time credits into your day and life. Don’t be busy fussing on non profit work.
  3. Business Planning.  Growth and lifecycles of products and business generally relate to time. Weekly sales targets, yearly profit forecasts require attention for that specific time frame, after is too late. Chunk down targets that are achievable and that build rewards for all concerned, business , staff and customer.
  4. Be careful what you wish for. Always move forward with the end in mind. Business owners all aspire to be Big. Big fat business can be its own worse enemy, slow to innovate, overrun and missing changing opportunity and trends, controlled by excessive debt ratios and detached from its aim and purpose to solve its customers problems.
  5.
  6. Time for a Vision. When the original concept, vision and plan was in your minds eye did that movie have a time line. Was it scripted with identifiable goals , milestones and rewards along the creation , growth and maturity phase . Was your family , friends, and personal interests prominent or have cameo movie roles in set times. Factoring for time is what makes the steps, process, strategies and outcomes become reality.

Understanding and using planned time frames will deliver real results, on time, in full and at price . Being busy is now an excuse for being unorganised. Creating extra time to dedicate to customers , business development and family time is a business success outcome that every owner can aspire.  For free business Advice, free call Melanie 1800 282 208 Redland City Business Grow Program.
